The new location will support Pilot’s existing station in Baltimore, which currently handles all traffic in and out of the D.C. area.

This growth marks the seventh consecutive quarter of rising revenue numbers for the company. Pilot shipped more than 153 million pounds of freight in the quarter.

The company reported revenue of $114.7 million for the quarter ending March 30, 2011, a 34 percent increase over the same period in 2010. The company shipped more than 146.4 million pounds of freight, a 16 percent year-over-year increase. This continued momentum for Pilot extends its record-setting performance of 2010 and indicates that another record year is at hand in 2011.
